I can't stop thinking

When one is practicing meditation, it is very common to hear the complaint, I CAN'T STOP THINKING!

Thoughts will always rise and fall in meditative practice. The activity of the mind is very powerful and always demands one's full attention. To shift from thoughts, to presensce has a very direct solution.

Simply begin by paying careful attention to your natural senses. Feel the hair on your head, the touch of the wind on your nose, the scent of fresh mowed grass, perhaps, the distant call of a nightbird.

When your thoughts shift to awareness and attention, they subside and create an open space of peace and freedom

Your practice in the beginning might only last for ten seconds. That is enough.

This very simple approach has created great shifts in consciousness. In time you can expand your practice to minutes and hours when you are open and ready.

Absolutely love your guided meditations. So comforting, and I can follow along which is unusual for me.
